Job Description

Seeking for a Supply Chain Program Manager to capture and execute responsive space programs. Responsibilities include working with stakeholders and leading internal and supplier teams in capturing and executing space programs and studies, with an emphasis on technology development and mission solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Lead supply chain program management in partnership with engineering, program management, and operations to drive execution, align with commodity strategies, optimize the supply base, and achieve the lowest total acquisition cost.
  • Apply hands-on, cross-functional approaches to identify pain points and implement improvements. Must have the business acumen and experience to drive best-in-class supply chain processes and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with functional and program leaders to track and coordinate program deliverables. Highlight key risks and establish mitigation plans. Provide regular updates on program status, including long-term risk management.
  • Manage critical milestones and project requirements, including supplier capacity and capability analysis. Ensure continuous material flow for adequate inventory levels and line fill.
  • Provide technical support for DFx, including the assessment of engineering changes for supply chain impacts.
  • Actively engage in process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply chain processes.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to meet program and customer requirements.
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure timely execution of deliverables and maintain supplier performance.
  • Interface and influence cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and supplier partners.
  • Communicate effectively with program managers across multiple stakeholder programs.
  • Develop and track supply chain management metrics tailored to space program needs.
  • Manage high-level relationships and evolve into a trusted partner and thought leader.
  • Understand customer mission requirements, constraints, and objectives.
  • Communicate value propositions effectively from both technical and programmatic perspectives.
  • Support long-term business strategy development.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and demonstrate commitment to the organization's code of conduct.

Qualifications

  • Requires mastery-level knowledge in a specific technical area or across multiple job areas.
  • Recognized as an expert and resource within the field.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience in contract types including FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, and Cost Reimbursement (with fixed-fee, incentive fee, or award fee).
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager for subcontracts, including budget and sales forecasting responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel periodically to supplier facilities (mainly domestic locations).
